Creation of the series "Fractal", this work is named In the beginning 1.

Back in 2001, I started a series titled "Chaos & the Enlightenment," based on the prologue of the Gospel of St John.
The idea was to work brute creation through the instinctive gesture in order to make feel the emotion.

"Fractals" is the beginning of a new pictographical adventure.

"In the beginning" 1 and 2 lets me close a cycle and to move on over "Chaos & Lights".

From Chaos arises Light, the order is taking place through fractals, calligraphy of the first words of the prologue: "In the beginning was the word" testifies to the fact a bridge between two worlds.

The words from the Gospel of Saint John are translated into: "filbedi Kana L Kalimat ou" expressed in the Louis Fontugne's Calligraphy Picture.

في البدء كان الكلمة

A friend suggested I work from a picture of Louis Fontugne's Calligraphy that he owned.

I redrawn calligraphy on Illustrator for a better final result and searched among my fractal shapes those who would enhance it.

Excited about the result, I could not resist to create another one, I named "In the beginning 2»
